How a job on the Repairs board becomes a Shopify order the customer pays, and what the dashboard does on its own along the way.
Use New Repair at the counter. Pick the customer from Shopify, add a new one, or choose Walk-in. This is what puts the customer's name on the Shopify order later.
Open the ticket, then the Parts & Labour tab. The total under On this job is what the customer will pay.
At the bottom of the ticket panel, on the Details or Parts & Labour tab.
Makes a draft order in Shopify. It shows in the POS draft orders. Stock doesn't move yet.
The button reads 📋 Order and makes a full unpaid order. It shows under Orders in POS. Stock comes off Boyle's count straight away.
The button then becomes 🧾 Draft order ↗ to open it in Shopify. Pressing it twice never makes two orders.
Add or remove a part or labour and the draft updates itself a second or two later: Shopify draft order updated — €94.00. If that fails, ⚠ Draft order out of date appears; press ↑ Update draft order.
The dashboard can't change a full order. Edit the order in Shopify yourself, then press ↻ on the ticket. The out-of-date badge clears once they match.
This is always a person's call. Paying early never moves a job to Ready. Texts to the customer aren't set up yet, so the screen will say Customer not texted: tell them from the Message tab (WhatsApp, Email or Copy).
Late collection: after 14 days at Ready, the Details tab offers a €5-a-week fee. Add to draft order puts it on the order. At Boyle, add it to the order in Shopify by hand.
Open the draft in POS and complete it. Stock comes off Sligo's count now.
Find the order under Orders in POS and take payment.
Can't find it? Search Shopify for the ticket's tag, e.g. repair-1042.
Within about 5 minutes the Shopify column reads Paid. Press ↻ if you don't want to wait.
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Draft order refuses: a part has no price | Give the part a price on Parts & Labour, then press it again. |
| ⚠ Draft order out of date | Sligo: ↑ Update draft order. Boyle: fix the order in Shopify, then ↻. |
| ⚠ Work added since payment: €X unpaid | Something went on the ticket after it was paid. Ring the €X up at the counter as a separate sale. |
| Part paid · €20.00 owed | A deposit was taken. The balance is still owed at collection. The Payment filter's Part paid (money owed) lists them all. |
| ⚠ Not found in Shopify | The order was deleted in Shopify. To raise a fresh one, press Unlink and confirm, then 🧾 Draft order. It refuses if Shopify has an order tagged with the job's repair number, since it may already be paid. |
| Late fee on a draft order or order that is already paid | Ring the fee up at the till as a separate sale. |
